  Camp 'n' Glamp 2022 Tent Preview Aimed primarily at  Camping and Glamping  sites to come and view the tents for next season, everyone is welcome to come along and join us for this preview.  Our showroom will house the tunnel tents which are able to be purchased in either 100% Cotton Canvas for our campers, or  All Season Campshield  suitable for  All Season Pitching  for the commercial sites. De Waard's origins date back to 1948. Machiel de Waard, who was a sailmaker for the Royal Netherlands Navy, designed the first tent at the Lepelaar campsite: the Albatros # 1.  In the need for a tent that never topples over, he started drawing on the back of an envelope.  The tent was designed in such a way that it could withstand strong gusts of wind and offered a nice home for a family. Our February display weekend saw the weather test the Karsten's. From driving rain to gale force gusts of wind, the tents stood firm....as you would expect. Anyhow, we made a short video...
