Sunrises

Image
I'm very lucky with our Cambridge Tent Displays that the field we use is East facing. This gives me the opportunity to get up early and view the rising sun. The added bonus of the large unobstructed skies just adds to the experience. Here are a couple of photos from the last couple of days, and what a difference some passing cloud makes! Carp Bivvy Front Walls

Image
A short video to show the difference between the standard 'sloped' front wall for the 240 Karsten inflatable carp bivvy (tent) and the Flat Front Wall. Both are available as an option with no difference in price - it's just a matter of preference! For more information, options and guide prices, please click HERE

Alan Taylor - No Place Like Home

Image
The end of March in the south of France, fourteen days and nights in the Karsten, delightful.   I arrived at the lake to find the water level very high which meant a bit of digging to accommodate my home, my ever reliable Karsten.   With a bit of jiggery pokery she’s up in a matter of minutes, once my space is prepared. I fished for the next thirteen days, 24 hours a day, through constant rain, gales, storms, mistral winds and thanks to my Karsten I was warm,  comfortable and dry, oh them old days of normal carp bivvys cramped up, listening to them rattling in the wind, drips, condensation, uprooted and blown away all a thing of the past. HAPPY DAYS IN THE KARSTEN, Alan Taylor

The Karsten 240 Carp Tent - Designed for Rental

Image
We now have for display the Karsten 240 Inflatable Carp Tent but in a rental material. This is a specialist WM-1 Tencate material designed for seasonal pitching and aimed at lake owners who offer a swim with a bivvy package.  Obviously this is an investment on behalf of the lakes, but with the weather experienced by many in France, anglers won't be going home due to the bivvy blowing away and gear being lost!  It was also great to see Alan Taylor at the latest display who came to cast his views over the new bivvy, as a Karsten owner himself (Cotton 240) he remarked at just how robust they are and commented that he would be recommending them. Standing in the Wind

Image
Our February display weekend saw the weather test the Karsten's. From driving rain to gale force gusts of wind, the tents stood firm....as you would expect. Anyhow, we made a short video...

The Great Northern Fishing Show 2012

Image
We have just returned from a very successful weekend at the Great Northern Fishing Show , held annually at Cudmore Fisheries in connection with the Finals of the Fish 'O' Mania Competition. Setting up in the rain, on a boggy slope whilst trying to keep everything clean was a real challenge. Luckily we managed to get some bark.  Gradually the clouds broke and Saturday brought with it intermittent weather but large crowds. Our first sale was completed with an hour of the doors opening. Sun and blue skies were the order for Sunday and it didn't disappoint. Although the crowds were less than Saturday, we had lots of serious interest, especially with the 350 Karsten for general Camping. Cudmore Fisheries is a great fishing location, catering for all anglers on various lakes.  Check out our Video Channel on YouTube
